How Do You Set Up Christmas Inflatables?

You shouldn't have any trouble inflating your blow-up Christmas decorations but in case you're having issues, check for any holes in or if something is blocking the fan from getting air. There also might be an open zipper or your inflatable might have been unplugged accidentally.

Since these ornaments are often used outside homes, you might be wondering how they will fare on a rainy day. Well, inflated decorations are typically built to withstand outdoor conditions including rain. Manufacturers advise that light rain will most likely do no harm to your inflatables, but it’s always best to keep them in an area safe from heavier downpours and of course, rain puddles.

You'd be thrilled to know that these require easy maintenance as well—definitely perfect for the busy, festive season. Just use a damp cloth to wipe your inflatables after unplugging them. No need for chemical-infused cleaners. Inspect for any tears or holes and dew them shut with a needle or seal them with clear packing tape. Do Christmas Inflatables Use a Lot of Electricity?

There’s a common assumption that Christmas inflatables use up a lot of electricity, but this is not the case. A large inflatable would require around 150 watts of energy. Run this 24 hours a day for three months and you’ll have an additional $30 on your bills. Of course, realistically, you really wouldn’t be running your inflatables for that long, so that means a further reduction in your consumption.

Now, compare this with a string of traditional Christmas lights. These use up to 10 watts per bulb, so a 25-bulb string light would incur about $38 a month. If you’re opting for a large Christmas ensemble in your home with various kinds of lights, opt for LED lights.
